How it works

Short, calm play sessions that end with something to talk about at home.

  1. Pick an explorer

Each child (up to 3 on one device) picks an explorer and gets their own stars, garden and suggestions. No names, no logins.

  2. Play a little story

Help a friend choose, find the clue, put steps in order. Mistakes are explained kindly, and after two tries a hint appears.

  3. Grow the garden, then talk

Every finished adventure grows the child's garden. You get a "Talk about it" question to carry the lesson into family life.

Lumo's picks: three ideas, your child chooses

Lumo suggests what to play next: a new story, a skill that is due for review, or a game at the right level. The suggestions follow how each child is doing and are worked out on the device.

  • Skills come back for review when they are due, so learning sticks
  • Each child has their own suggestions and learning record
  • In the grown-ups area, "Why Lumo picked this" shows the reason behind each idea
The grown-ups area: learning progress for each adventure, such as Greeting with salam: Practised, with a Talk about it question.

See what they practise, not just how long they play

Behind a short grown-ups check, you see every skill as Practised, Remembering or Remembered, with a question to talk about at home.

  • Progress for each skill, for each child
  • A "Talk about it" question for every adventure
  • Minutes played today and this week
  • A short break suggested about every 20 minutes
